Canadian OL Tomas Jack-Kurdyla performs at University of Buffalo pro day

Canadian offensive lineman Tomas Jack-Kurdyla performed for scouts from nine NFL teams and five CFL teams at the University of Buffalo pro day.

The hometown Bills, New York Giants, New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos had personnel men in attendance. From Canada, the Calgary Stampeders, Saskatchewan Roughriders, Toronto Argonauts, Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Montreal Alouettes sent talent evaluators.

After checking in at nearly six-foot-three and 300 pounds, Jack-Kurdyla pumped out 18 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. He recorded a 23-inch vertical, eight-foot, three-inch broad jump, 5.35 time in the 40-yard sprint and 4.75 shuttle.

Jack-Kurdyla earned a starting role on the offensive line during his true freshman year in 2016. Through four years with the Bulls, the Montreal native started in 40 games at guard. He was a key part of Buffalo’s first-ever 10-win season in 2018 and the Bulls first bowl victory in the 2019 Bahamas Bowl.

The Vanier College product is seen as a highly rated CFL prospect, ranked No. 5 in the December scouting bureau. If an NFL opportunity doesn’t happen for Jack-Kurdyla, teams north of the border will be happy to secures his talents in the draft.
