3DownNation power rankings: Bombers collapse triggers fall from the upper echelon
The Montreal Miracle had reverberating effects on the 3Down power rankings.
Four of the top five teams were changed up. The only mainstay: the Calgary Stampeders.
The power rankings are done by having 3Down contributors rank each team from No. 1 to No. 9. The team with the fewest “points” gets the top ranking with each subsequent club receiving rankings two through nine. The previous week’s rankings are listed in brackets.
1. Calgary Stampeders (1)
Bo Levi Mitchell is showing his worth. It’s a smooth ride for the Stamps with No. 19 handling the reins.
2. Hamilton Tiger-Cats (3)
Lirim Hajrullahu called game we just didn’t hear the bank.
3. Montreal Alouettes (5)
Lead an epic comeback and be suspended one game, it was quite a week for Vernon Adams Jr.
4. Winnipeg Blue Bombers (2)
Mike O’Shea’s group had no answer for the birds in the second half.
5. Saskatchewan Roughriders (4)
Cody Fajardo spread the Riders love during the bye week but it didn’t matter to the 3Down crew.
6. Edmonton Eskimos (6)
Maas face: when you can’t catch a break.
7. B.C. Lions (8)
Lots of smiles in B.C. from a two-game win streak, but it was against the worst team the CFL has seen in a long time.
8. Toronto Argonauts (7)
Argos reinforcements have been called in the form of Frank the Tank.
9. Ottawa Redblacks (9)
The expression on Marcel Desjardins’ mug says it all about the Redblacks season.
