Montreal Alouettes at BC Lions 9/28/19

The Montreal Alouettes visit the BC Lions on Saturday September 28 in a CFL Week 16 showdown. Montreal rallied to beat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Saturday 38-37. The Alouettes scored 21 unanswered points during the fourth quarter for the win. At one point, the Alouettes were down 34-10 in the second quarter. Vernon Adams Jr. threw for 488 yards, four touchdowns and one interception.

BC routed the Ottawa RedBlacks on Saturday 40-7. Wide receiver Duron Carter threw a 67-yard touchdown to Shaq Johnson and would later catch a touchdown reception of his own. Mike Reilly threw for 352 yards and two touchdowns, while Johnson finished with 160 yards receiving on only three receptions. The Lions defense shut down the RedBlacks offense holding Ottawa to two first half points.

Vernon Adams Jr. has passed for 2,953 yards, 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions. The leading rusher for the Alouettes is William Stanback with 125 carries for 748 yards and five touchdowns. Eugene Lewis leads all receivers with 47 receptions for 678 yards and three touchdowns, while DeVier Posey has caught 39 passes for 621 yards and two touchdowns.

Mike Reilly has thrown for 3,306 yards, 14 touchdowns and 14 interceptions for the Lions. The leading rusher for the Lions is John White with 639 yards and six touchdowns. Bryan Burnham leads all receivers for the Lions with 1,078 yards and five touchdowns, while Lemar Durant has 702 yards receiving and five touchdowns.
