Statman and Superfan star in Eskimo Empire Podcast #47

In episode #47 of the Eskimor Empire Podcast, the guys welcome Eskimos stats guru Brian and Superfan Mike into the Turf District.

Brian has been in the media booth collecting stats since 1993 and tells us what it's like to watch the game from that perspective. Stats play a key role for some fans and the guys get into how they each follow the stats and when. Brian brought some key things to watch for with the Esks players this year, including Mike Reilly climbing the Eskimos ladder in passing attempts and yards!

The first full week of camp, including a mock game and Fan Day, is now complete. So what better time to have Superfan Mike and UT breakdown all they saw in week one? Everyone seemed to like the mock game on the Friday night, but they wonder if it took something away from the traditional Fan Day. The first week's standouts and bubble players, all get discussed.

With the season upon us, it's time to get back into Fantaseh and Pick ‘Em leagues! The inaugural CFL Podcast Family Fantaseh league lottery for draft position happens in the Periscope preamble. Let the trash talking begin!

[Really? All right then … we’re gonna start ruining seasons beginning on Draft Day when break CFL Horsemen’s heart by snagging Calgary QBs at no. 2. The Rouge, White & Blue is fixing to become the first American team to bag a CFL title since the Baltimore Stallions roamed… -- Ed.]

And in anticipation of CFL Pick ‘Em starting again, each guy takes a stab at who wins the games in the first preseason week's games.

Lots of great fans and guests to come as the Esks start their defense of The Grey Cup. You can find the Eskimo Empire Podcast on iTunes or click on the banner directly below. As always, we will absolutely talk to you next week.
