Eskimo Empire Podcast #38: Talking with Glenn Harper; also CFL superhero teams

Episode no. 38 of the Eskimo Empire Podcast is now online. This week, CFL and Esks alumnus punter Glenn Harper joins Andrew and Uncle Tim to talk about his playing career and his passion for football.

Harper runs the gamut of his career with the guys, from his early years at St. Francis Xavier high school through to his coming out of retirement to play for the Ottawa Renegades in the early 2000s.

Glenn tells us about the similarities of golf (his second favorite game) and directional punting; what it felt like to win a Grey Cup with his favorite team growing up; and the long-lasting friendships that have come from his career in CFL football. He even continues the latest Empire trend of throwing in some great impersonations!

With the slow news week, Andrew brings some fun fantasy questions to the table including, “Who would be on your superhero football team and what position would they play?” Andrew and Uncle Tim cover the latest in CFL news, including the combine and the promotion of “He Who Shall Not Be Named.” The boys think the Esks should be looking at a DB or receiver with the 8th overall pick in this year’s draft…
