*That* didn’t work out well for Jasper Simmons.
Incidentally, Walters dismissed said rumors of his departure from Winnipeg.

Wild, rumored to return to Winnipeg since his release by the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers, said he was just tired of waiting for another NFL opportunity. He isn’t just going to be hopping into the starting lineup though.
Ian Wild essentailly takes Jasper Simmons' spot on special teams, immediately, and as a reserve linebacker. Hurl, Bass still the starters.

Over two seasons with Winnipeg, Wild recorded 142 tackles, four sacks and a fumble recovery for a score – though the key question Bomber fans are probably asking is, “Can he play quarterback?”
