Simmons lands with Bombers (that didn’t take long…)
The most talked about player in the Canadian Football League this week (albeit for all the wrong reasons) has already found himself another job.
The Blue Bombers are currently on the BYE week, so Simmons will have a full week of practice before facing his now former team, the Calgary Stampeders, next week.
Having come to Winnipeg from Saskatchewan in the offseason, Sam Hurl has struggled as a starting linebacker for the Bombers in 2015. He was an absolute special teams beast with the Riders but could never crack the starting lineup, so he went elsewhere looking for an opportunity.
We could see Jasper Simmons replace Hurl in the lineup, but I think I know the key to solving Hurl’s struggles: THE HAIR.
Grow it back, Sam.
