Blue Bombers feeling ... well, blue
At the beginning of the season there was a sense of optimism felt in Winnipeg not felt in quite some time. After all, their Grey Cup drought will reach a full *25 years* if they don’t win the big game this coming November.
Being in that big game, never mind winning it, just became a lot more difficult.

The Blue Bombers lost both their starting quarterback and their starting running back for an extended period of time after their game with the Tiger-Cats on Sunday. Teams seem to be leaving Tim Horton’s Field with a whole lot more than an extra digit in the loss column.
Robert Marve looks to be the man up for Winnipeg at QB and Cameron Marshall steps in at running back. Marshall actually led the Bombers in carries the last three weeks so he essentially just gets the title of “starter” now.
I now officially feel bad for Winnipeg fans. Let’s trade wins for Labour Day and the Banjo Bowl? Deal.
