CFL Pass

*That* Adrian McPherson?

Toronto and Montreal wrapped up their preseason last night as the Boatmen hammered the Als, 30-10.

Trevor Harris looked like he is ready to fill in for Ricky Ray to start the season, as he finished the game going 10 for 12 for 98 yards. The Argonauts’ defense looked hungry as well as ready, as they picked Alouettes quarterbacks off three times.

Adrian McPherson returned to the CFL last night, too, going 3 for 6 for 43 yards and an interception. He showed off his cannon of an arm in the game and looked like a viable option if something were to happen to Trevor Harris. McPherson has been keeping busy in the Arena Football League and in 2013 threw for 3,156 yards and 59 touchdowns against five interceptions. I realize it’s Arena Football, but those *are* video game numbers!

Ahead of tomorrow’s final cut-down day, some players are already announcing the bad news.

Teams need to be down to 46 active players by 10pm EST tomorrow.

The CFL preseason ends tonight with three games on the slate: the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Winnipeg Blue Bombers; Calgary Stampeders at Saskatchewan; and Edmonton Eskimos at BC Lions. Note that  the Riders/Stamps game may be seen via live feed at Riderville.com
